Abstract
To evaluate the hCG on the activity of macrophage of BALB/C mouse in vivo and in vitro, we studied the experiment of cytotoxicity of macrophage and the activity of lymphocyte against PHA. Lymphocytes and macrophages were obtained from BALB/C mice
by
aseptic removal of the spleen. For in vitro activation, varying doses of hCG were added to macrophages and K562 cells. For in vivo macrophage activation, the mice were treated daily 500 IU hCG for a total of 2,4 and 6 treatments.
Phytohemagglutinin
(PHA) and various concentration of hCG were added to lymphocytes and macrophages.
@ES The results were as follows:
@EN 1. For in vitro activation, varying doses of hCG, such as 100 IU, 500IU and 1,000 IU were added to macrophage and K562 cell, there was no significant difference in 100 IU and 500 IU, but there was significant difference n 1,000 IU.
2. For in vitro activation, there was no significant difference of cytotoxicity in 1,000 IU, 500 IU and 1,000 IU of hCG which were added to K562.
3. Having established the lymphocyte activation to PHA in the lymphocyte: macrophage ratio of 10:1 to 5:1, the two groups showed increased lymphocyte activation according to the increased hCG concentration compared to control. It was found that
the
more
the concentration of macrophage is higher in the lymphocyte: macrophage ratio of 5:1 added with 1,000 IU of hCG than ratio of 10: 1 group ndue to the lymphocyte increased significantly.
4. There was no signficant difference in the two groups of the macrophage: lymphocyte ratio of 10:1 and 5:1 in the same concentration of hCG.
5. For in vivo macrophage activation, the mice were treated daily for a total of 2,4 and 6 treatments. There was no significant difference of cytotoxicity compared to control.
The result presented in this study suggest that hCG causes the increased proliferation of lymphocyte and cytotoxicity of macrophage.
